Resume of Michael E. Rasmussen:

I have been a Postcard, Autographs, movie memorabilia and paper collector for over 40 years and a professional collectible dealer and appraiser for the past 25 years. I have traveled extensively through out the U.S.to collectible shows and have been buying and selling on the internet via my Rasmussen Collectibles website and on eBay Auctions under Rasspaper since 1998.
I have worked as catalog writer and appraiser for major auction houses and I also promote my own shows in central California under the name of Central Coast Productions. I am a founding member and past president of the Santa Cruz Postcard Club, and am presently a member of eight other clubs from coast to coast. I am a member of the International Federation of Postcard Dealers (I.F.P.D. #212).I am a 32 year member of American Philatelic Society (A.P.S. #77708) I was a contributing author of "American Exposition Postcards,1870-1920" with Fred & Mary Megson, and a recognized expert in entertainment autographs and member of UACC "The Universal Autograph Collectors Club".

Brief History of Rasmussen Paper Collectibles

I was part owner of a collectible shop in Capitola, CA for about 12 years and traveled extensively to collectible shows in search of product. As costs to operate a store front became prohibitive, I began doing antique and collectible shows as a dealer and and ran mail auctions. In 1984 I started my own collectible show in Santa Cruz, CA. I also began working for the large auction house of Butterfield & Butterfield in San Francisco and in 1990 - I helped initiate and oversee the huge Sam Stark postcard sale, which at that time was the largest live postcard sale in the world. I continue to work with the auction houses and in May of 2005 I held my own live and Internet auction of the Syl Boss Collection,which had a 6 figure result in sales! I am doing more appraisals now and am working with libraries, insurance companies,and estates all over the U.S.
